Peggy J. Scott movie list
Peggy grew up outside Philadelphia, where her father was a business executive and her mother did a variety of volunteer work. She inherited a love of travel, sailing, and animals from her parents.
She spent her junior year at the Institute for American Universities in Aix-en-Provence, France, studying art, philosophy, and French dramatic literature. During her time in France, she traveled throughout Europe, curious to learn more about the world and our country's place in it. She has lived on a sailboat, trekked in Peru, visited Bushman in their villages and traveled widely--visiting over five continents and forty countries throughout Asia, South America, Europe, and most recently, going on safari in Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Visiting animals in their natural habitat has been one of the highlights of her time spent in those remote areas. She has amassed an extensive collection of wildlife photography, and continues to enjoy her camera. In Zimbabwe, through her guide, she was introduced to a local village school, where she now supports the education of several children in this extremely remote area.
Her numerous professional credits began with a BFA in Theatre from Ithaca College, two years with the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco, and an MFA in Classical Acting from the Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington, DC. Early work included numerous leading roles in regional theaters and two years as a company member at the Guthrie Theatre. Performing in Four Saints in Three Acts, she spent a year with the National Theatre of the Deaf, traveling, singing and signing with the company throughout the US and Portugal. She was nominated for a Henry Award for her performance of Silda in Other Desert Cities at Theatre Aspen, has performed on and off Broadway, and now enjoys an active theatre, television and film career in New York. She makes her home on the upper west side of Manhattan and in Garrison, New York.
