Inspired and energized by two formative experiences-an assistant editor gig on CBS' Touched by an Angel and a surprise Jimmy Stewart Crystal Heart award for The Touch-director Adam Thomas Anderegg co-founded Kaleidoscope Pictures with production partners Micah Merrill and Russ Kendall to create entertainment that artfully elevates humanity. Over the last two decades, Anderegg has worked in writing and directing roles on more than 100 projects, which have made him a persuasive film artist. His work has been seen in wide theatrical release, internet and cable distribution, and at historic sites and destination theaters around the world.
Highlights of his narrative directing credits include True Mettle (principal photography scheduled in Lithuania starting March 2017), Winter Thaw (John Rhys-Davies, Karl Johnson), The First Vision, an innovative surround screen project shown at the LDS Church History Museum in Salt Lake City, Utah, Storms of Life which will be shown at a private venue in Rome, Italy, and Mormon Battalion Historic Site in Old Town San Diego, which was named 2014 Historic Site of the Year by the Conference of California Historical Societies and recognized for excellence by Trip Advisor. Additionally, Anderegg's theatrical feature debut Jack Weyland's Charly earned him substantial critical acclaim as a director.
Unscripted series work includes The Food Nanny, The Song that Changed My Life, and the Christmas Under The Stars concert series on BYUtv. He has also directed pieces with David Archuleta and internet sensation Lindsey Stirling.
In 2016, his film Winter Thaw was recognized as Best Premiere at the Heartland Film Festival. As a founding member of Kaleidoscope Pictures, he has been instrumental in winning 2 Emmy Awards, 7 CINE Awards, 3 Summit Creativity Awards, 18 Communicator Awards, and 51 Telly Awards, to name a few.
Anderegg earned a BFA in film directing from Brigham Young University and loves infusing his projects with musical elements and international influences.
