Born in Singapore to ex-pat parents, Laura lived in three different countries by the age of eight.
Upon returning the U.S., her family settled in Seattle, where she joined a youth Shakespeare company.
Theater was a mainstay as the years went on.
A meeting with casting director Nancy Foy triggered a move to Los Angeles.
Film and television roles followed, with Judd Apatow's Superbad being the first.
In 2017, Laura made her directorial debut with SPEAK, a short film and social issue piece that garnered nationwide selections and premiered at the prestigious Nantucket Film Festival.
She toured the country with the film, speaking with audiences about domestic violence and the importance of portraying its complexity.
Laura is now in development on the feature version of this project.
In addition to her acting work, Laura continues to write, direct and produce commercial and narrative content.
She also performs stand up comedy throughout LA, including the Comedy Store & The Laugh Factory.
