Robert Rhine (writer/actor/producer) is the spawn of TV comedy writer Larry Rhine (All In The Family, Bob Hope, Red Skeleton) and comedic TV and film actress Hazel Shermet (A Star Is Born, Love At First Bite, New Zoo Review). Both were recorded by The Archive of American Television. A massive head injury and skull fracture 'clinically' killed Robert Rhine when he was ten years old but he was revived and survived to become a dark fiction writer fascinated with the subject of death. In 2002, Robert Steven Rhine (aka Corpsy) became the Founder/Publisher and Deaditor-In-Chief of Girls and Corpses, a worldwide newsstand magazine featured on such media as: Entertainment Tonight, TMZ, Inside Edition, Entertainment Weekly, Maxim, E-News, Bizarre, VICE, Oddities, worldwide newspapers and hundreds of web news sites. In 2015, famed music producer Kim Fowley (The Runaways) passed away and bequeathed his body to Girls and Corpses Magazine to be put on the cover as his last wishes -- which were met. Rhine is the President/CEO of Girls and Corpses Films, Under the G&C label Rhine wrote, produced and acted in: Cynthia, starring Scout Taylor-Compton, Sid Haig and Bill Moseley (2018, Indian/Lionsgate), Exorcism At 60,000 Feet, starring Lance Henriksen, Bai Ling and Adrienne Barbeau (Shout Factory) and Escape From Area 51, starring Donna D'Errico (2021/Cleopatra Films). Other releases under the Girls and Corpses Presents label and executive produced by Rhine include: Rob Zombie's 31, Night Caller, The Chair, Parasites: Attack in LA, Bodies, All I Need, Blood Rites, Predator World, The Meat Puppet and more. As an actor, Rhine has starred or co-starred in numerous films (and has been killed in 24 of them!). Rhine portrayed Rod Serling for The Twlight Tower of Terror Ride (directed by Joe Dante) for Disney Orlando Florida. Rhine best selling books include: "My Brain Escapes Me" (Sun Dog Press) and "Satan's 3-Ring Circus of Hell" (Asylum Press). He has sold fiction to over one hundred magazines and published anthologies, including the Bram Stoker award winning "Dark Delicacies"(Carroll & Graf) alongside Ray Bradbury and Clive Barker. R.S. Rhine has been a contributing writer for Heavy Metal, Cracked, National Lampoon and others. Rhine's first comic book, "Selected Readings From Satan's Powder Room" (Asylum Press) was followed up by a second helping titled "Chicken Soup For Satan." A third comic book, "Satan Gone Wild" led to Rhine's 280 page, color graphic novel "Satan's 3-Ring Circus of Hell." Forty-three of the top horror artists in the world (such as William Stout, Tim Vigil, Hilary Barta and Alan M. Clark) contributed to the book, illustrating R.S. Rhine's twisted tales. Rhine also wrote the published book (illustrated by Brian Orlowski) titled: Last Laughs:Gallows Humor. Rhine worked for a decade as a Unit Publicist for Universal Studios, TriStar/Columbia, Dreamworks and Imagine Entertainment on such features as: The Craft, Hush, Tremors, Problem Child, Double-Team, Mousehunt and Toy Soldiers. He's worked as an entertainment publicist, book publicist, film advertising copywriter, segment producer for PM Magazine and also worked for CNN.
