HEATHER-CLAIRE NORTEY is a fiercely passionate actor whose natural gift of empathy and dedicated work results in authentic and engaging character portrayals. She is known for her role as young Joy White in "Abducted: The Carlina White Story" (Lifetime Network), her role in "The Man In The High Castle" (Amazon), and her Supporting Lead roles in projects such as "Taking A Shot At Love" (Hallmark). Heather-Claire has always loved the performing arts. She has always been committed to artistically creating and telling stories. She is an actor on the rise. Heather-Claire Nortey has an extensive dance background. She excelled on stage in Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Modern, Lyrical, and Contemporary dance. She graduated with distinction from a dance program where she studied Ballet, Modern Dance, and Choreography. During that time, she trained in film and television and acted in plays. She is thankful for the opportunities she had dancing at the National Arts Centre, performing onstage in comedic musicals, and playing Rose in "Restoration" - a stage play written by E. Bond. She also enjoyed choreographing for various musical theatre productions. After completing her Honors Bachelor of Arts Degree with Specialization in Theatre, Heather-Claire devoted herself to more focused training in film and television. She studied with Megan Follows ("Anne of Green Gables") and esteemed teachers and casting directors. Heather-Claire completed the full time Dramatic Arts Program at the Vancouver Academy of Dramatic Arts and she also studied with visiting LA acting coach Ivana Chubbuck. She loved working on "Abducted: The Carlina White Story" (Lifetime Network) in which she worked with Aunjanue Ellis ("The Book of Negroes") and Sherri Shepherd ("The View"). Heather-Claire continues to hone her skills and work on her craft. Heather-Claire Nortey's credits include movies based on real life stories as well as movies with heartwarming messages on the Hallmark Channel and Lifetime Network. Her favorite pastimes include working with people with special needs, singing and dancing along to gospel music, and of course watching movies. Heather-Claire Nortey's goal is to create meaningful films and characters that uplift, enlighten, and inspire people.
