Ivo Müller movie list

Despite his European name and appearance, Ivo Müller is a respected Latin American actor born and raised in Brazil. Ethnically ambiguous according to casting standards, with charm to spare and handsome, vulnerable looks, Ivo Müller's amazing range is apparent throughout his work. From his silent performance in Tabu (2012) (an awarded feature film where he was first introduced to wide audiences) to his intriguing stage play on the works of poet Rainer Maria Rilke, Müller is a fascinating study in contrast. A true chameleon, Müller distinguished himself as a transgender character in a guest star appearance in the HBO show, Psi (2014). He's equally compelling as an AIDS-stricken hairdresser, appearing alongside famed Andrea Beltrão in Hebe: A Estrela do Brasil (2019), in both the feature film and the television biopic. Along with his lauded acting career, Müller produced the independent horror film O Diabo Mora Aqui (2015), and performed the title role for which he was nominated and received awards, including Best Villain. A man of many talents, Muller is also an acting coach. He played that role in the awarded documentary Cine Marrocos (2018), where he coached homeless people and refugees who were living in an abandoned movie theater in São Paulo. Müller speaks Spanish in the feature La muerte de Marga Maier (2017), English in the mini series Passport to Freedom (2021) (Sony Pictures International), and his native Portuguese in diverse features, shorts and plays performed throughout his acting career. Having left his career as a lawyer on the island of Santa Catarina, Müller moved to Rio de Janeiro and then São Paulo to pursue his passion for stage and film. Having trained with one of the most awarded group theaters in Brazil, Grupo Tapa, and late actor/mentor Clark Middleton in the U.S., Müller is at the height of his creativity. Now based in Los Angeles, he continues his acting and is also involved in screenwriting. As important to him as any of his other roles, he cherishes his role as a loving husband and father to two children.
