Born in Ft. Benning, Georgia, son to Henry Bazemore and Loretta Faye Bazemore, Henry Bazemore Jr.'s parents relocated to Flint, MI, taking advantage at that time of the growing automotive Industry. It was there that he grew up from humble beginnings. Remaining close to home, he attended the University of Michigan. A year before graduation Henry was coaxed into auditioning for an open casting call of the Tony Award winning play, The Grapes of Wrath. It was there, that he caught the acting bug. Henry received a B.A. in English with a specialization in writing, and a minor in theatre. Upon graduation, Henry was accepted to a number of Acting Graduate programs in the U.S. including, the prestigious Cal Arts, and DePaul University. Although graduating with honors, Henry felt he really didn't cut his teeth on acting until he worked in LORT and other Regional Theatres learning from other seasoned professional actors. This led to companies entrusting him with title roles such as Henry in Henry V, Cassius in Julius Caesar, Theseus and Oberon in a Midsummer Night's Dream, and supporting roles such as Le Bret in Cyrano de Bergerac, Lucentio in the Taming of the Shrew, and Carl in Bus Stop. Throwing his focus more towards film and television, Henry soon was cast in a comedic supporting role based on the book by G.K. Chesterton, entitled Man Alive. From there he appeared in a number of television shows such as Drop Dead Diva, Sleepy Hollow, and ShowTime's Homeland, while recurring in Army Wives, One Tree Hill and recently in Sundance's 2nd new original series, The Red Road.
